Nuclear security
The Jordanian government has signed a $10 billion agreement with Russia for the construction of two nuclear reactors in the Middle Eastern country.The chief of Russia's state-owned firm Rosatom, Sergei Kiriyenko, and Jordan Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Khaled Toukan signed the deal on March 24 in Jordan's capital, Amman.The state-run Petra news agency reported that Rosatom will construct two 1,000-megawatt nuclear reactors near Qusayr Amra, some 60 kilometers northeast of Amman.
