In mid-June, Dayramir Gonzalez and his wife Tatiana were making preparations to incorporate some of his accomplishments into his Wikipedia entry, but they didn’t know exactly how. Dayramir, an award-winning Cuban pianist and composer, had been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Ejazznews, and Europa Press and wanted a Wikipedia page to show for it.
They didn’t know their query would leave them victims of a now famous scam, initiated by one of the almost 400 people banned by Wikipedia this week.
