Expired chemicals exploded safely by Saskatoon police
Police in Saskatoon have safely exploded a batch of expired chemicals that were found in a building on 800 block of 58th Street E.The building was evacuated Friday as members of the hazardous materials unit suited up to respond to the incident.
Assistant Fire Chief Glenn Ledray said two old, four-litre containers of the chemical ethyl ether were found in the building's laboratory last week. It had been expired since 2008.
