Hundreds of fugitives are brought back since April

More than 700 Chinese fugitives suspected of involvement in economic crimes have beenbrought home from abroad since April to stand trialaccording to a senior anti-graftofficial.
The suspects include 96 government officialsthe official said on the eve of World Anti-Corruption Daywhich fell on Wednesday.
China launched a repatriation campaign code-named "Sky Netin April targeting 100 keyofficials who had fled overseas.
In the past seven monthslaw enforcement officers have also confiscated 1.2 billion yuan($189 millionin illegal assetssaid Liu Jianchaodirector of the InternationalCooperation Department under the Communist Party of China's Central Commission forDiscipline Inspection.
