Reince Priebus Describes Trump’s Relationship With CIA As A ‘Love Fest’
White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus on Sunday downplayed any tension between President Donald Trump and the intelligence community, characterizing Trump’s meeting with the CIA over the weekend as a “love fest.”
Trump addressed members of the agency on Saturday and gave a meandering, defensive speech in which he boasted about attendance at his inauguration.
Priebus, who said he attended the speech, told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace that the president had received a warm reception.
“I’m telling you it was a love fest if you were in the room,” he said. “These are men and women that President Trump loves and respects.”
