Three Russians
were detained in Guatemala during a joint operation involving officers of the
country’s Interior Ministry and the International Commission Against Impunity
in Guatemala (CICIG) operating under UN aegis, the CICIG reported in a
statement received by the TASS mission in Mexico.
The document says three members of the Bitkov family
(Igor, Irina and Anastasiya) have been detained in Guatemala. According to
preliminary data, they have been charged with forging official IDs.
The arrest warrant for the above-mentioned people was
issued by prosecutor’s office of Guatemala’s capital.
