Transportation security
There are
new security measures you'll face while traveling this month, which may make it
take a little more time to get through the airport. Additional security
measures are all part of an ongoing effort to thwart possible acts of
terrorism.
Additional random passenger and luggage checks are now
happening at gates once travelers have cleared Transportation Security
Administration(TSA) checkpoints. This comes after the Department of Homeland
Security(DHS) announced earlier this week that they are tightening up searches
at U.S. airports over fears terrorists are creating non-metallic explosives,
which can be capable of passing through some airport scanners undetected.
