Russia and Iran to switch to payments in national
currencies

Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance
(Rosselkhoznadzor) said that Russia and Iran agreed to switch to payments in
national currencies in trade of food, RIA Novosti reports.
Both
sides consider the significant increase and diversification of food production
a very tangible contribution to the improvement of bilateral Russian-Iranian trade.
Depending on the needs of the Russian market, Iran is ready to increase food
production by Iran.
The
two sides expressed mutual interest in ensuring stable bilateral trade
relations with the effective control of the quality and safety of products, and
stressed out the need to maintain an acceptable level of prices.
