The man suspected in the Saturday attack on two Canadian constables
in St. Albert, a suburb of Edmonton, the capital of Alberta
province, has been found dead, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
announced in a statement.
"The RCMP can now confirm that the suspect, who
shot two RCMP officers earlier this morning in St. Albert, was located
deceased in an unoccupied private residence in a rural area east
of St. Albert," the statement, released Saturday, said.
According to the
statement, police had tracked the suspect to the location after the attack and have "directed the Alberta Serious
