Spy
agencies are snooping on enviros around the globe
Another week, another instance comes to light of governments targeting
peaceful environmental activists. This latest document leak finds
that South Korea asked for an assessment from South Africa of whether
Greenpeace International Executive Director Kumi Naidoo constituted a “security
threat against the president of South Africa during the G20 summit to be held
in South Korea.”
The cables are part of a leaked cache from South Africa’s spy agency that
shows efforts by a number of countries to keep close tabs on dissenters.
