Trump says reports Russia helped him win presidential election are ‘ridiculous’
President-elect Donald Trump says reports that Russia intervened in the U.S. election on his behalf are “ridiculous.”
In an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Trump charged that Democrats are behind the story. “I think the Democrats are putting it out,” he said, “because they suffered one of the greatest defeats in the history of politics in this country.”
The president-elect said the intelligence community is “not sure” about allegations of Russia’s role and “are fighting among themselves.”
The Washington Post on Sunday reported that the Central Intelligence Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have been giving lawmakers divergent messages on Russia’s role in the election.
