FBI investigating ‘imminent’ terror threat near Universal Studios in Los Angeles

The FBI says it is investigating an “imminent” terror threat against a Los Angeles Metro station located near Universal Studios in Hollywood.

The threat, which Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said was phoned in “from a nation abroad” and made against the city’s Universal City Metro station on the red line, according to KABC-TV. The individual who phoned in the threat said the attack would occur Tuesday morning.

The FBI’s assistant director at the Los Angeles field office, Deidre Fike, didn’t say which country the call came from but said the individual who made the threat spoke in English, KTLA-TV reported.
