Espionage/ No serious evidence
Washington has provided no evidence that might prove the guilt of Russian
citizen Yevgeny Buryakov detained in the United States, and Moscow will keep
pressing for the observance of all of his rights, the Russian Foreign
Ministry’s human rights ombudsman, Konstantin Dolgov, told the Rossiya-24
television news channel in an interview.
"No proof of the serious charges brought against the Russian citizen
has been presented so far," the diplomat said. "That’s the Americans’
usual mode of behaviour. We are pressing for consular access and for the
observance of all of his rights."
Dolgov added that Russia will be mounting pressure at all levels to make
the United States stop unlawful actions against its citizens. The diplomat said
that there have been ever more such cases as of late.
