War on terror/ Intelligence sharing

(Joseph Eid/AFP/Getty Images)Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad has made new claims that the United States-led coalition has shared intelligence with him about its strikes on the Islamic State group inside his country. Sort of.
It’s interesting to read the headlines about the interview with the BBC. Some have talked about the U.S. itself; some have pointed out that there’s been no coordination.
Based on Assad’s claims, anyway, there hasn’t been any coordination with the United States, but at the same time, he’s found out about what’s happening in the strikes from “third parties.”
Assad sounded upset about the strikes, saying that they have “trampled over the international law.” Asked directly about the U.S. sharing information on strikes: “They don’t talk to us, we don’t talk to them.”
