A group of migrant workers harvest celery in the fields around CambridgeshireBritain’s economy would be crippled by leaving the EU unless migrant workers keep the right to settle here, a study has warned.
The most comprehensive analysis of the effects of Britain leaving the European Union found that retaining freedom-of-movement rules for foreign workers was the only way to avoid economic disaster. It said the worst case would see £56 billion wiped off Britain’s economy by 2030.
