'Fukushima catastrophe ongoing: Leakage on a daily basis’his catastrophe that is ongoing is nearly six years old at this point. The fuel, the melted cores have been missing an action. TEPCO doesn’t know where they are; the Japanese government doesn’t know where they are; nobody knows where they are. What could have happened is these probes, these cameras, these robots, these radiation monitors that are being sent in by TEPCO to try to figure out what is going on, may have encountered the closest they have come yet to these melted cores. They may even have come upon melted fuel that is not under water, and water serves as a radiation shielding. So if this is an open area and there is no water – that could explain.

Arktis Radiation Detectors Set For Growth With Investment Following US, Global Contracts

Demand for Arktis Radiation Detectors systems is growing rapidly and the company recently secured contracts with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) supporting its revolutionary SIGMA program, as well as with the UK-based Atomic Weapons Establishment. In addition, it was awarded a contract at the port of Antwerp for seven radiation portal monitors fully integrated into the port's infrastructure and with the Swiss authorities for radiation detection.

According to DARPA, “The SIGMA program aims to revolutionize detection and deterrent capabilities for countering nuclear terrorism. The desire for significantly lower-cost and more capable radiation detectors is a common element of multiple detection concepts-of-operations (CONOPs). A key component of SIGMA thus involves developing novel approaches to achieve low-cost, high-efficiency, packaged radiation detectors with spectroscopic gamma and neutron sensing capability. The program will seek to leverage existing infrastructure to help enable these next-generation detectors and their deployment in order to demonstrate game-changing detection and deterrent systems.”

Radioactive contamination spreading in shuttered Hanford Site nuclear plant
The Hanford Site plant in Washington hasn’t been operational since 1967, but continues to spread radioactive waste, with a demolition date earmarked as late as 2032.
Although it hasn’t been operational for nearly 50 years, a report published by the Tri-City Herald has found that radioactive contamination is spreading inside the plant’s Reduction-Oxidation Complex (REDOX) and could be worsened as the facility deteriorates.
The facility is roughly half the size of Rhode Island and because REDOX is located so deeply in the center, it poses little risk to the public. However, preventing the problem from worsening isn’t going to be cheap. The report recommends that $148 to $181 million be spent on interim cleanup and maintenance.

Experts: North Korea May Be Developing a Dirty Bomb Drone



A Korean think tank claims that North Korea is developing a drone capable of spreading lethal amounts of radioactivity over a wide area, sickening people and making areas unlivable. If true, the weapon is the latest in a series of nuclear or radiological weapons being developed by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's regime.

According to South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, Kim Jong-un may have begun to develop the drone in 2012, shortly after the death of his father Kim Il-sung. The Banghyun-5 drone, as it is supposedly called, is made of titanium and carbon composites and has a 900-liter fuel tank, allowing it to fly for up to 10 hours. The drone is designed to carry a payload of enriched uranium, which North Korea is believed to possess as a result of its nuclear weapons program.

It will continue do so indefinitely as the source of the leak cannot be sealed as it is inaccessible to both humans and robots due to extremely high temperatures.
It should come as no surprise, then, that Fukushima has contaminated the entire Pacific Ocean in just five years. This could easily be the worst environmental disaster in human history and it is almost never talked about by politicians, establishment scientists, or the news. It is interesting to note that TEPCO is a subsidiary of General Electric (also known as GE), one of the largest companies in the world, which has considerable control over numerous news corporations and politicians alike. Could this possibly explain the lack of news coverage Fukushima has received in the last five years? There is also evidence that GE knew about the poor condition of the Fukushima reactors for decades and did nothing. This led 1,400 Japanese citizens to sue GE for their role in the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
