Joe Biden calls woman ‘lying dog-faced pony soldier’ at campaign event

Former Vice President Joe Biden bizarrely called a young woman a “lying dog-faced pony soldier” at a campaign event in New Hampshire on Sunday.
The woman had just asked the presidential hopeful about his fourth-place standing in the Iowa caucuses.
“How do you explain the performance in Iowa and why should voters believe that you can win the national election?” she asked, according to a clip of the exchange.
Biden, 77, admitted it was a legitimate question but then asked her: “Iowa’s a caucus. Have you ever been to a caucus?”
When she indicated she had, Biden responded: “No, you haven’t. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier,” drawing laughter from the crowd.
The phrase, from a John Wayne movie, is one Biden has used several times before, his campaign pointed out.
But it still confused the woman on the receiving end, who told the Washington Post she thought she’d asked a legitimate question.

Bernie Sanders’s path to the 2020 Democratic nomination, explained

This week, for the first time, the progressive senator from Vermont emerged in first place in a national CNN poll, showing him 3 points ahead of former Vice President Joe Biden, though within the margin of error. For months, Sanders has been hovering around 20 percent in the RealClearPolitics national polling average, but some good recent national and early-state polls are putting him on an upward trajectory.
If his campaign can turn out Iowa’s sizable Latino population and working-class voters, Sanders is bullish about winning the February 3 caucuses. That could shift the ground here in New Hampshire favorably for him — and with a robust operation in key Western states like Nevada and California, two decisive wins in the earliest states could put Sanders well on his way to the Democratic nomination.
Even more importantly, they could prove Sanders’s theory of winning elections: expanding the electorate and getting traditionally neglected groups to turn out. Some might call it a political revolution.

Election 2020 – Week to 28 Apr 2019

Biden seems bent on self-destruction, does not see the pedophilia stream-roller coming (or sincerely believes he can survive millions of views of him mis-fondling kids and being creepy with older women). Clinton and Biden will be the big losers in 2020, followed by Harris and Buttigieg. This election is going to be about authenticity, inclusion, and truthfulness.  No one now running can match the incumbent, but the incumbent cannot match the possible coalition that could challenge him.  This election is also going to be about traditional values, and stopping  the normalization of pedophilia, transgenders, and other forms of perversion. Trump is still edging Sanders, Sanders is neither holistic nor inclusive, both required to defeat an incumbent however handicapped. Latest: Wall Street calls it for Trump — it’s the economy, stupid, he stopped the planned collapse of the market and may be about to nationalize the Fed.

Biden's sloppy launch may cost him

Joe Biden
Biden has run for president several times before. Each time, he didn't come remotely close to earning the nomination. Polls show — for now, anyway — that he is best positioned to beat President Trump, making him the safe choice. But safe choices don't tend to do well in these situations — think John Kerry, John McCain, Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush.
Then there's the matter of what the Democratic Party, and arguably the media, increasingly doesn't want: old, white, establishment. The establishment part is especially important, because one could argue the past two presidents elected were anything but establishment, in Trump and former President Obama. Both men were seen as outsiders. Both were sent to change the status quo of Washington.
Unfortunately for Biden, he's the most prominent example of a living, breathing establishment politician.
