Clinton critic: FBI investigating potential lies to investigators

Edward Klein, a conservative commentator and longtime critic of Hillary Clinton, says he thinks the FBI is investigating whether Clinton and her allies made false statements to investigators, and that the investigation will come to a close before the end of the year. 

 

In an interview with host John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on New York’s AM-970, Klein said his sources the investigation into Clinton and her use of a private email server while secretary of State centers on potential false statements to the FBI. 

 

He said the agency “expanded the investigation to a new area, which is: The bureau is investigating whether Hillary and Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills, her closest aides, whether they violated the law by giving false statements to the FBI, and that’s a felony, subject to five years in prison.”
