US Foreign Policy Shows Symptoms of Schizophrenia - Analyst

This common behavior among American politicians points to a certain diagnosis, political analyst Daniel McAdams wrote.
Throughout recent years Western experts have regularly criticized US foreign policy over a lack of coherent strategy. Those situations in which American politicians make two contradictory statements within a short period of time indicate "schizophrenia in the White House," McAdams, the executive director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, wrote.
Several days ago US Secretary of State John Kerry announced a significant shift in the US approach to the ongoing Syrian civil war, following Kerry's Moscow meetings with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
