International security/ Russia is thinking several steps ahead of the rest of the world

They called the first world war ‘the war to end all wars.’ It wasn’t. The next one won’t be either, but it very well could be starting in Europe as we speak.

What will be different in this possible conflict will be the direct targeting of economic and financial systems.  This will be done through direct action (i.e, blowing up things)—it will also be done through cyber warfare, which could have a much longer, durable effect on our infrastructure.

We are all aware of the first shooting war between two European countries since World War II now playing itself out in Eastern Ukraine. What most Americans haven’t thought about is the possible extension of this war across Europe.
