‘Electromagnetic Pulse’ Weapon Could Kill 90% Of America, Warns Presidential Candidate

An American Presidential candidate has warned that new cyber weapons could bring about a new dark age - and kill 90% of Americans. 
John McAfee- an antivirus pioneer known for eccentric views - claims that so-called EMP weapons could bring ‘civilisation to a cold, dark halt’.
EMP weapons have never been used in battle - but in theory would burn out electronics such as computers and mobile phones. 
It is not know which countries possess such weapons - although American experts have warned that a primitive ‘EMP’ bomb could be created by detonating a nuclear bomb high in the air, and using it to ‘knock out’ the electricity grid.
