UK Spy Agency Admits Engagement in Computer Hacking
Britain's Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) for the first time admitted in a court case that it carried out Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) or computer hacking, media reported on Tuesday.
In a written argument to the Investigatory Powers Tribunal (IPT), cited by the Guardian, GCHQ rejected claims brought by Privacy International and seven internet service providers that its hacking activities were disproportionate and illegal.
