Intel & business
We are well aware that the most demanding activity in Competitive Intelligence (CI) is transferring data into intelligence. This is only a challenge for the business world – it is not a less problem for the intelligence organizations. In most of the intelligence failure worldwide, the information was usually in hand. The fault was in the intelligence process and the final product. In the business world there a lot of models that are used in the intelligence process. One of the best books in that field is "Business and Competitive Analysis" by Fleisher and Bensoussan. The problem often is the how an analyst is using the different models explained in this book but being able to draw the bottom line. This is actually what business leaders are expecting.
