Thieves 'accidentally disabled second New York bomb by pulling out wire while stealing bag saving dozens of lives'
Two thieves accidentally disabled a second bomb planted in New York while stealing the unattended bag it was hidden in, according to reports.
The two men opened the rolling suitcase and removed the device before placing it into a bin, according to NYPD chief Robert Boyce.
He continued: "Once they picked up the bag, they seemed incredulous. They had actually picked this up off the street and they walked off with it.
"They look like they were two gentlemen just strolling up and down Seventh Avenue at the time."
