Ex-Obama Advisor: Clinton Should Skip Debate After Trump’s Call for Drug Testing

Democratic U.S. presidential nominee Hillary Clinton listens as Republican U.S. presidential nominee Donald Trump (not pictured) speaks during their presidential town hall debate at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S., October 9, 2016.
David Axelrod, former White House advisor and Chief Strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, suggested that Hillary Clinton should skip the third presidential debate after Donald Trump challenged her to undergo a drug test.

"You have to wonder if @HillaryClinton will/should reconsider next debate, given the depths to which this has sunk," Axelrod tweeted.

Trump proposed that the candidates both undergo a drug test at a rally in New Hampshire on Saturday. "Athletes, they make them take a drug test, right? I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate," he said.
