A Dog, The New Weapon To Fight Child Pornography In Will County

The Will County state’s attorney has a new weapon to fight child pornography — a black Labrador named Cache.
Though most crime-fighting dogs are known for sniffing out bombs or drugs, Cache, has another set of very unique skills — he has been specially trained to detect hidden electronic devices.
Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow purchased Cache, the first electronic detection dog in Illinois, from Jordan Detection K-9 in Greenfield, Indiana, according to a statement from Glasgow’s office.
Cache was trained by Todd Jordan, an Indiana firefighter who pioneered the training of dogs to detect a proprietary chemical used in SD cards, thumb drives and other electronic devices that store digital content, according to the statement.
