Homeland Security: Violent extremists could strike the homeland with little or no notice
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says in a new advisory that it is still concerned about terrorist attacks.
The National Terrorism Advisory System alerts the Americans about the latest developments and trends regarding terroristic threats.
“Since the last advisory issued in June 2016, our basic assessment of the global threat environment has not changed. We remain concerned about homegrown violent extremists who could strike the homeland with little or no notice,”
Homeland Security officials say at this time, they are not aware of any specific or credible threat against the United States.
