The prime suspect in the Paris attacks plans to sue a French prosecutor for breach of confidentiality, his lawyer said Sunday.
The Paris-based prosecutor Francois Molins told reporters Saturday that accused attacker Salah Abdeslam, 26, wanted to blow himself up during the November bombing but changed his mind, according to the BBC.
“He wanted to blow himself up at the Stade de France and, I quote, ‘backed out,” Molins told reporters at a press conference.
Abdeslam’s lawyer Sven Mary fired back that the statement was, “a violation [and] I cannot let it go unchallenged,” according to BBC. The statement is a breach to the confidentiality of the investigation, he said.
