Iran to Continue Support for Iraq's War on Terror
Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Hassan Danayeefar said Tehran will continue its support for Iraq’s ongoing war against foreign-backed terrorism and extremism, including ISIL, in the war-torn country.
Ambassador Danayeefar made the remarks in a meeting with former Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq.
He also voiced hope for the resolution of Iraq's internal problems on the way to political reforms.
Al-Mutlaq, for his part, welcomed Iran’s support in the war on terror and urged his country’s neighbors to adopt a balanced act towards Iraq's internal problems.
In relevant news, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani assured Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi about Tehran's determination to continue assistance to its Muslim neighbor in campaign against terrorism.
