New Nonprofit Aims to Bolster Trump in Fights With Both Parties

President-elect Donald Trump spoke to supporters during a rally at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala., on Dec. 17. A new nonprofit organization plans to ‘aggressively promote Trump’s agenda and help make sure the promises made to the American people during the campaign are kept by Congress.’
Officials at a top super PAC that backed Donald Trump during the presidential campaign have launched a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that will allow supporters to anonymously bolster the new president’s agenda.
Great America PAC spent about $25 million on advertising, phone calls and mailers during the campaign, and assembled a national data file of nearly 30 million records, according to the group’s officials. Now, officials said in an interview, they are planning to channel their pro-Trump efforts through a nonprofit called Great America Alliance—which is not required to disclose its donors.
They will also retain the super PAC arm, with the goal of targeting Mr. Trump’s opponents, as the Washington Post reported. Both groups will be run by Republican strategists Eric Beach and Ed Rollins.
