UK's entire fleet of hunter-killer submarines out of action

UK's entire fleet of hunter-killer submarines out of action The Royal Navy's entire fleet of hunter-killer submarines is out of action. Six of Britain's seven attack subs are either undergoing repairs or a refit.HMS Ambush is being mended after crashing into a tanker off the coast of Gibraltar last year.
HMS Astute is currently on sea-trials after an upgrade, but is weeks away from being operational.
Sky News understands that one submarine is available, if needed, but is in port and not out on duty.
The Vanguard class fleet, which carries the UK's nuclear deterrent, is unaffected.
In a further development, The Sun newspaper reports that the news was kept from Prime Minister Theresa May because of fear how she might react.
