Russia reveals Su-30SME fighter at Singapore Airshow

Russia's United Aircraft Corporation revealed the export version of its Su-30SME during the Singapore Airshow.

The Su-30SME, an export variant of the Su-30SM, lacks the French-made avionics suite in favor of a Russian-made system that aims to enhance the aircraft's capabilities. Russian state-owned news agency Tass reports Southeast Asian, Middle East and North African countries have already shown interest in the fighter.

The Su-30SM aircraft is a multi-role fighter jet designed for both air-to-air and air-to-ground combat operations. The jet can be armed with air-to-air missiles in addition to air-to-ground precision-guided weapons.
