M&S bras sparking terror alerts in airports because of special metal used in underwiring
M&S may be forced to change the design of its bras because they keep setting off airport security scanners, it has been reported.
The high street retailer uses a different type of metal in its bras to other brands, it is claimed.
And women travelling through UK airports are finding themselves getting searched every time, if they are wearing an M&S bra.
Some have been taking to Twitter to warn others about the problem.
Tracy wrote: "Lesson.. Do not go through airport security wearing a new M&S bra.... Talk about a thorough search!"
Darcie added: "Top tip of the day. Do not try and pass through airport security while wearing an M&S underwired bra unless your after being felt up!"
Becky said: "Impressed the lady who patted me down at security could tell my bra was from m&s"
And Sarah Chapman added: "luton airport security searched me rather carefully as my bra made a 'significant bleep'. M&S bras seem to be the cause!"
