Putin suggests analyzing Soviet experience of defense industry’s work during WWII
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday it would be useful to analyze the experience of the Soviet defense industry’s work during World War Two.
"As for turning to the experience of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War involving the effort to relocate Soviet defense enterprises, modern armed struggle methods are such that it won’t be necessary to move any facilities," the Russian president said.
Putin made this statement at a meeting of the organizing committee for the celebrations of the 71st anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The Russian president commented on a proposal by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin to analyze the Soviet Union’s experience in organizing the defense industry’s work during the Great Patriotic War.
