CIA warns Poland against potential terrorist threats
US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) says that terrorist attacks in the Polish capital are highly likely. Such a warning was reportedly sent to the Polish Agency for Internal Security ABW two weeks ago.
According to unofficial information CIA has suggested implementing extraordinary security measures and offered assistance of American officers ahead of such key upcoming events in Poland as the NATO summit in July and the World Youth Day.
Meanwhile, according to Poland’s government's security center RCB none of potential threats to national security are "probable".
RCB wrote in an analysis to which the daily Rzeczpospolita got access that Poland is facing nine potential threats to national security.
The risks seen as most probable - assessed as "medium" - are tied to the threat of use of firearms or explosives as well as to an aviation catastrophe.
Experts consulted by the daily express doubts over the analysis methodology as the document was based on surveys conducted among state administration units.
