Gov't to Set up Security Checkpoints at Train StationsStarting from August, security checks will be introduced on a trial basis in key train stations in South Korea, including Seoul and Busan Stations. The move comes amid rising concerns of terrorist attacks on public transportation hubs and other facilities following the deadly bombing attack on a metro station in Belgium last month.

Report: Unlike airports where all passengers and luggage undergo security inspections, at train stations, people can freely board as long as they have a ticket.
 
As a result, the government has found that train stations could be more vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
 
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on Thursday that it devised detailed measures for stronger security at railways.
