Radioactive Uranium Found Near Estonian Capital - Rescue Service

Uranium is a radioactive chemical element used in nuclear industry for both military and civilian purposes.

"The metal cylinder was found on Monday night in the woods near the village of Saustinomme located in the Parish of Saku near Tallinn. The find was made by a metal detector while searching for the old shells, the detected radioactive material is uranium. The police has been informed of the discovery. The board carries out the examination of the container," the statement said.
