'Could Be Very Helpful or Very Harmful': Scientists to Try to Fight Global Warming by Blocking Sunlight
Global warming alarmists have proposed a number of ideas for combatting rising temperatures, but perhaps none have been as overt as scientists' attempt to literally block sunlight from reaching Earth's surface.Scholars are reportedly looking into a technique known as “solar geo-engineering,” which would try to mimic volcanic ash's effect on sunlight.
Twelve scholars from around the world wrote Wednesday that “developing countries must lead on solar geo-engineering research.”
“The overall idea (of solar geo-engineering) is pretty crazy, but it is gradually taking root in the world of research,” lead author Atiq Rahman of the Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies said.
Scientists in developing nations will reportedly pursue research into the technique of creating shade with a man-made chemical.
