TERROR THREAT: ISIS terrorists feared to be planning CHEMICAL ATTACK on Euro 2016 fans
CRAZED Islamic State (ISIS) fanatics could use drones to launch sickening attacks on football supporters at Euro 2016, German police have warned.
They fear ISIS terrorists could use unmanned aircraft flying to drop explosives or chemical agents on crowds at the tournament.
The game most at risk from an attack is the final in Paris on June 10, a spokesman for the German Federal Police (BKA) said.
The venue of the final – the 80,000-capacity Stade de France – was targeted by ISIS in a series of co-ordinated attacks in November.
The BKA has set up a crack task-force to investigate the potential for terror strikes at major public events.
The spokesman said Euro 2016 games are "easy targets" because they attract thousands of fans and "a lot" of media coverage.
France remains in a state of emergency following November's atrocities across Paris, in which 130 people were slaughtered.
