New York Police Commissioner William Bratton to Depart
Police Commissioner William Bratton said Tuesday he is leaving the department for a job in the private sector, ending a four-decade career in American policing that made him a near household name as the architect of modern crime-fighting strategies.
Mr. Bratton, 68 years old, said he has accepted a job at global consulting firm Teneo Holdings, where he will be senior managing director and executive chairman of a newly created risk division that will advise companies on issues including cybersecurity and counterterrorism.
