Hitler helping Islamic State from beyond the grave
Islamic State are reportedly digging up Nazi landmines and bombs buried in Egypt during World War II in an attempt to boost its weapons arsenal.
The terror group and other jihadists have been using components from the abandoned weapons to create crude bombs and improvised explosive devices.
Terror groups have been digging up the old landmines since 2004, according to Egypt's ex-land mine clearance czar and former ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Fathy el-Shazly.
"We’ve had at least 10 reports from the military of terrorists using old mines," he told Newsweek.
Of the 110 million landmines buried worldwide, 23 million of those are in Egypt and 17.5 million were buried during World War II by Hitler's Afrikan Korps.
